BEHIND THE BIZ
As you know, I'm always looking for ways to enhance my business strategy and connect with my ideal customers.
Recently, I made the decision to focus my attention on building a strong presence on LinkedIn (more on this in the ‘Social Scoop’ section).
LinkedIn provides a curated platform for professionals, making it an ideal space to share my expertise, learnings, and successes.
Whether you're in the corporate world or running your own business, having a voice and establishing yourself as an expert in your industry is crucial.
While platforms like TikTok and Instagram have their own unique advantages, I've found that LinkedIn aligns better with my area of expertise and the format in which I want to communicate my value (at least for this moment in time).
To ensure that I'm consistently delivering high-quality content and maximizing my impact on LinkedIn, I've made the decision to hire a team of experts to support me in this endeavor.
This is also partly because the twins will be here in 5 WEEKS and I know I’m about to have a lot of sleep-less nights (which means I need help on the tedious tasks so I have the bandwidth to focus on other critical aspects of my business and my family).
Although I don’t know what the results will be from this experiment, I'm excited to see where this LinkedIn journey takes me and the opportunities it’ll bring.
Stay tuned for updates!

SUCCESS SHORTCUTS
I’ve come to find that LinkedIn is the ultimate tool for generating leads (at least high-ticket, consulting leads).
I’ve had plenty of success cultivating a following on TikTok and Instagram, but followers don’t always equal dollars.
Plus, shooting and editing video content can be super time-consuming without any traction, which means the ROI is low for the effort exuded.
Although I have to flex a new muscle in simplifying and communicating my thoughts via text (video is just SO much easier sometimes) - I’m excited!
But how do you write a post that turns that potential into profit?
It's simple: make your post valuable, relatable, and actionable.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD LINKEDIN POST?
VALUE
Don't hold back - give away as much information as possible.
Share your expertise, stories, and insights.
Let your readers know the value of what you offer so you become a trusted and REMEMBERED resource for them.
Sometimes our best, and highest, clients are quietly lingering in the shadows.
RELATABILITY
Share personal anecdotes, relatable experiences, or engaging metaphors to connect with your readers.
Speak from the heart and share your personal story to build a relationship with your audience.
Remember: Vulnerability sounds like truth, and feels like courage.
Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.
ACTION-DRIVEN
End your post with a clear and compelling call to action.
Encourage your readers to engage with you, to ask questions, or to take a specific action.
TLDR
The best LinkedIn posts:
💚 Solve a common problem for your target audience
💚 Speak directly to their experience & challenges
💚 Are conversational and encourage engagement
💚 Have a clear, compelling call to action
BONUS
Use storytelling, versus just facts or information, to invoke emotion and create a connection with your reader.
When you write from a place of genuine care and concern for your audience, they'll be naturally drawn to you and will want to learn more about your offerings.
IT’S NOT ABOUT SELLING - IT’S ABOUT SERVING.
Make your posts about THEM.
And remember, consistency is key.
It's not about writing one great post - It's about consistently delivering value over time.
Have you had success with LinkedIn? Or is this a new platform for you to utilize and test out?

SOCIAL SCOOP
I think we can all agree - social media is becoming WEIRD.
What initially started as a place to share unfiltered, in-the-moment experiences and daily snapshots has now become a massive digital billboard.
On the positive, this is super beneficial for us business owners (which is why the creator and gig economy have exploded).
On the downside, this means that social media companies are looking for every which way they can monetize on us.
It makes sense - every business NEEDS to make money. But at what cost? And at what point is everything just a carbon copy of the other?
The past few months have been a wild ride, so here are some important updates that you might have missed (and should consider in your overall business strategy):
Social Media Platform Changes & Updates
INSTAGRAM “META”
In Q1 of last year, Instagram introduced Meta Verified, which was essentially a “pay to play,” so you can achieve that blue checkmark status and prove your account is authentic.
NOW, a year later, they’re introducing similar plans for business accounts which start at $14.99/mo and go as high as $350!
Although I myself haven’t tried it, and there are a ton of small businesses that supposedly had great feedback to share about the rollout of it, is it going a bit far?
Instagram relies on its creators to generate content so people stay on the App, but if there’s a paywall, will people be less inclined to stay if it becomes a mandatory subscription?
Also, will businesses be penalized and put in the algorithm jailhouse if they DON’T agree to pay?
TIKTOK
The talks of a TikTok ban have been ongoing since 2022, but now things are heating up.
A few months ago, the US government ruled that TikTok needs to move it’s business over to the US OR find a US buyer within a year or they’ll be permanently banned.
The reasoning for this is so that it can be regulated by the US government (although many speculate there are other motives).
Now, creators are fighting back and are suing the US government for violation of their First Amendment rights: freedom of speech.
As someone whose life has been changed personally and professionally, I hope that TikTok stays 💚
With Meta rolling out paid memberships and TikTok potentially being on the chopping block, LinkedIn is capitalizing on it.
LinkedIn has already been on the up-and-up as no longer just a professional networking App to find a job or connect with colleagues, but has put serious marketing dollars behind Creators by introducing ‘Top Voices’ and NOW, beta testing a TikTok-life short-form video feed.
LinkedIn has already been making headway as more people turn towards vulnerable and authentically sharing on the platform versus the typical dry ‘I got a new job’ posts or celebratory milestones that happen (although important and exciting too).
This is also why I’m focusing on LinkedIn - at least for right now.
I will forever be pivoting my marketing plans and testing new ideas (and you should too) because as the old trope goes: you either adapt or die.
What do you think of social media platforms? Are we in the golden or dark ages?!
Thanks for reading!
